At one point or another in our lives we have all experienced pain. Pain is essential and a part of daily life. Pain can be good or bad depending on the situation but the important question is how can i tell the difference between good pain and bad pain? How do i know if i should push through the pain or stop before i make it worse?
In this blog we'll be discussing the different types of pains that are brought up and how to navigate through pain types to ensure that we're not making the situation worse:
Understanding pain and how to modify activity :
GOOD PAIN:
Description: pain after a workout that feels sore and gets better with movement
Instructions: You can work through this pain especially if it starting to feel better. Driving more blood flow circulation to the area will help decrease soreness
BAD PAIN
Description: pain that is sharp, sudden, stabbing and/or electric and does not get better with movement
Instructions: You should modify your movements to avoid pain or discontinue the movement all together to ensure that you're not making the pain worse
